Day 1: Jalandhar To Katra. ( National Highway 1A 270 Km, 4 Hours 8 Mins )

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine is one of the oldest and most popular shrine of India, located at a height of 5300 feet on the holy Trikuta Hills of the Shivalik Hill Range. The Holy cave is 13 Kms from the Base Camp Katra.
The Goddess Mata Vaishno Devi's abode is in 100 feet long cave with a narrow opening. The holy cold and crystal clear water washes the lotus feet of the Mata's "Pindian". There are three natural pindies representing Maha Sarswati, Maha Lakshmi, Maha Kali, which represent creative, preservative, and destructive aspects of the supernatural power. It is an ancient shrine whose reference is found in the Vedas and ancient scriptures.

Day 3: Katra To Shiv Khori And Back To Jalandhar

On the morning of 3rd day we will visit shiv khori temple. Shiv Khori Shrine Board recently constructed a track on which people have to walk for about 3km. Shiv Khori means Shiva’s cave. It is a naturally formed cave approximately 200m long, 1m in width and has a height of 2-3m. The cave is in the form of Shiva’s damroo with both ends being broad but narrowing down at the centre. The cave has a naturally-formed lingam that people say has no end. This lingam is symbolic of the power of creation. A milky fluid of lime constantly drips over the lingam from the top of this ceiling. This cave has a wide mouth at the entrance that can accommodate 300 people at a single time. The cavern of this shrine is big enough to hold a large strength of people.
Surprising resemblance of Ganesha, Goddess Parvati, and Nandi in other natural formations in the cave is aplenty. The roof of this cave has naturally carved out snake formations depicting Sheshnag through which water trickles on the lingam. Pigeons are found here in abundance as in the Amarnath cave and are considered good sign by the pilgrims..
Then after visiting all these religious places we will return to jalandhar with lots of blessings of the GODDESS and unforgettable memories.
